Ranking is half the job now. Getting cited is the other half.
More and more of your buyers finish their research inside an AI answer they never click out of. So we do two jobs: earn the ranking in Google, and become the source ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers quote. Then we measure both, monthly, in a report you can forward.
What's in every retainer
- Technical SEO and site health
- Blog content written and published
- Google Business Profile + local SEO
- Citation building and cleanup
- Link building
- AI citation tracking, reported monthly
Included. Not quoted separately later.
Two scoreboards, and most reports only show one.
A position-three ranking used to mean traffic. Now it might mean an AI summary quoted someone else while your listing sat below the fold. If your reporting can't tell those apart, it isn't telling you much.

What it looks like when it works.
WC Marker sells specialty paintball gear — products people search for by brand, model and country, the kind of query that used to be won purely on rankings. Over nine months we took them to #1 for six of their core terms, and over the same window their referrals from AI answer engines went up four-fold. The second number is the one that matters: it means the work that earned the rankings also made them the source the machines quote. Same effort, two scoreboards.

Is search actually your problem?
Sometimes it isn't, and a retainer would be the most expensive way to find that out. Five checks you can run this afternoon — three of them are free to fix yourself, and one of them means don't spend anything at all.
01Can you say how many enquiries came from search last month?
02Search your main service plus your city. Are you on page one?
03Is your Google Business Profile complete, with photos from this year?
04Ask ChatGPT what your organization does. Is the answer right?
05Of the search traffic you already get, how much converts?
Scoring, honestly: a no on 01 or 05 means stop — sort measurement and conversion before buying visibility, or you'll never know what you bought. A no on 03 means do it yourself this week; you don't need us for that. Only 04 reliably justifies a retainer, and only 02 tells you whether any of it is urgent.
Comfortable on all fiveYou don't need an SEO retainer. Keep doing what you're doing and re-run number 04 every few months — that's the one most likely to change without warning.
Four jobs, running continuously.

Answer engines are harsher than Google about structure. A page a crawler can't parse cleanly doesn't get quoted, however good the writing is.

Written for the person you have to forward it to. If a report needs me in the room to make sense, it's a bad report.
How the AI score is actually built.
No black box. We keep a standing list of the questions your buyers really ask, run them against five engines on a schedule, and record three things every time: were you cited, which page, and who was cited instead.
That last one is the useful column. Knowing a competitor gets quoted for a question you should own tells you exactly which page to write next — which is the difference between a report and a to-do list.

AI Visibility add-on
Answer-first restructuring of your existing pages, plus entity and schema work — the on-site half of getting cited. The five-engine citation report is already in every retainer; this is the work that moves it.

Each extra Google Business Profile with its own citations, review strategy and local landing page.

Lowest-risk way in. Credited back against whatever follows — and if you take the document and fix things yourself, that's a legitimate outcome.
The questions people open with.
Answered here so you don't have to book a call to find out whether this is worth a call.
Ask me something else →No — the scoreboard changed. Ranking still drives traffic, but a growing share of research now ends inside an answer the person never clicks out of. So there are two jobs: rank in Google, and be the source that gets quoted. The underlying work overlaps heavily, which is why we do both and report both.
A standing set of the questions your buyers actually ask, run against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews on a schedule. Every run records whether you were cited, which page was cited, and who was cited instead. That rolls into a composite 0–100 score that moves month to month — so it behaves like a metric, not an anecdote.
Technical and local fixes can move within weeks. Competitive content and authority work is a six to twelve month arc. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches, or doesn't plan to be around in month four.
Ours is $1,500/month for Core, $2,250 for Growth, $3,500 for Authority — content, local SEO, citations, link building and reporting included rather than quoted later. No setup fee, no lock-in. You'll see local rates advertised from $750–1,000, but check what's bundled before comparing; the pricing page does that arithmetic.
No. Month to month, 30 days notice. If the work isn't earning its keep, a contract shouldn't be the thing keeping you.
Yes, and it happens. If your problem is conversion rather than traffic, or the site is structurally broken, spending on rankings first wastes money. The audit establishes which problem you actually have before anyone signs anything.

Fifteen minutes. Tell me what you sell and who you compete with, and I'll run your questions against the answer engines before we talk — so the call starts with your actual numbers rather than my slides.
